Documenting the Constitution

We should use independent legislation to support this amendment when we can.

The Preamble is misleadingly retained as an artifact in the printed Constitution without mentioning its current invalidly amended status. The Constitution that appears in textbooks includes every word that has historically formed part of the Constitution. It indicates text repealed by amendment by italics or striking. But text that is not enforceable law due to invalid amendment, therefore not part of the Constitution, is not marked as repealed text. This enables invalid amendment to go unchecked, as the public can't see it.

Accurate documentation would point out any loss of legal force immediately

so it could be corrected.
